Artworks

March 29, 2009

Lucas and I went to Artworks today for some art fun. I was a little unsure if he was old enough for Artworks. Artworks is a place set up with art stations where the kids can use different mediums to create "art". Lucas had maybe a one minute attention span in the few stations we tried. He then found the slides and swings outside and that is where he decided to play for about an hour. I will probably wait a few months before I take him here again. He had an enjoyable morning playing with his playgroup friends, but I felt a little frazzled from chasing him around.

Lucas working on his crown. He brushed on the glue and stuck some sequins and feathers on the crown. Then he ate a few of the sequins.

He loves to scribble, we still need to work on the correct way to hold the markers.

We put a paper plate in the spinner and he added a few drops of paint

He loved spinning the spinner

Simple but fun!

He started playing with the balls but of course he did what he always does when he has a ball, he threw them. The owner kept telling him to roll the balls but he kept throwing. So she finally took them away from him. He was not a happy at all.
